Koozie for the Rally time!!!

One of the best parts about being in South Dakota is getting to spend time with the siblings doing all kinds of different things. Things I would normally be doing by myself (which is no fun). The latest and greatest thing we did were make Koozies for the 85th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally for the people that stay in my moms yard. I guess this is something that my sister does every year, or for the past few years anyways and so this year I got to help! I LOVE doing projects. I really REALLY do!

So I was asked to come up with the design. The people involved thought it would be cute to put a buffalo on it since this is, of course, one of the states with the fluffy cows that people can't seem to stay away from. That being said, these are my ideas for designs for this years Koozies.

After some consideration we decided on 2 different designs for this year. The saying is "where the wild ones roam" which fits for the buffalo and for it being the motorcycle rally. I mean, you do have to be a little wild to be on a motorcycle right? So the 2 designs were the baby buffalo in the top left corner and the buffalo with the trees which really matches the black hills aspect of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. I think these were the perfect ones to pick. Granted it was going to be a complete pain in the butt to get the prints weeded and ready for the koozies but it'll totally be worth it in the end.

After getting the designs figured out it was time to print. My sister has an older Cricut. Mine is the Explore 3 and does NOT connect to my laptop because of my graphics card while hers is a Cricut Adventure 2 and connects just fine! Talk about piss a person off. I got the best laptop I could because I wanted it to run all my stuff without any problems and now it won't even attach to my Cricut. Maybe I'll have to just down grade my Cricut machine to one like my sisters. Hers is purple after all and I love the color purple.

Once the printing was done we cut them into workable squares. 9 per sheet so we had a lot to do. This is where we started.

And this is where we finished!!!!!

These koozies are definitely not perfect but neither are we and since we are giving them out for free a little mess up here or there is fine. No one will notice anyways right?

So this was my weekend-ish. I can't wait until the next project comes along.

This week I get to house sit for my brother and take care of my 2 sisters dogs for a night (one dog on Thursday night, one on Friday night). Life sure keeps me busy.

I just wish my heart was happy too.

~Till next time~
