Days of 76 Rodeo Qualifications

The one thing I miss so much about South Dakota is the country. The horses, the work, the everything!!! I miss the animals we had, I miss the hard work it was to take care of all those animals, I miss living in the country so far away from everything that nothing mattered. So when I heard that the rodeo was up in Deadwood, I had to check it out.

The Days of 76 rodeo happens in Deadwood every year. This year was the 103rd anniversary and I learned something new. Every day during the week, in the mornings from 8am to 10am, they have qualifications for Slack, Steer Wrestling and Team Roping.  Well, on the days I went this is what they had anyways. It is FREE and I couldn't believe I hadn't gone more then those two days! I would have went every day had I known.

Friday morning I took my dad with me. We didn't get there until after 9am so we didn't get to see a lot but we still enjoyed every minute. Here are some pictures and videos of what we saw on Friday.

On Saturday morning I took my oldest sister with me and these are pictures and videos from Saturday.

And there you have it.  Some of my pictures from the qualifications for the Days of 76 Rodeo. I'd literally give anything to be able to ride horses every day. To take care of them and enjoy every second of the presence of such a great animal. If you can't tell, horses are my absolute favorite animals.

Maybe one day I'll get my wish.

~Till Next Time~
